Silymarin
Silymarin is the biological extract of milk thistle (silybum marianum L.), and silibinin is the major active constituent of silymarin. Silymarin has been evaluated clinically in the treatment of hepatitis and liver damage caused by by alcohol or by antituberculosis drugs. Silibnin is a very strong antioxidant compound capable of scavenging both free radicals and reactive oxygen species.
Curcumin
Curcumin has been widely acknowledged as a botanical supplement (phytochemical) with great potential to prevent and treat wide spectrum of therapeutic conditions. In addition, it has been proved to be remarkably safe in animal studies and in many clinical evaluations even at high doses (up to 12g/day).
